Grove.

Parental controls for Apple Silicon Macs,
designed around trust instead of surveillance.

Most parental controls watch your child like surveillance software, ship the data to a server you don't run, and call that safety. Grove takes the opposite approach. The app sits on your child's Mac, summarises the day on-device through Apple Intelligence, and shows the same dashboard to your child as it shows to you. The trust is built in, not added on top.

01

Closes 14 documented Screen Time bypasses.

Time-zone tampering. The 30-second enforcement gap after a restart. "Ignore Limit" buttons. Reinstalling apps to reset counters. Switching to a friend's Wi-Fi. Grove watches for all 14 and tells you what happened, in plain English — not in jargon.

02

No data leaves your child's Mac.

Grove uses Apple Intelligence to summarise your child's day on the device itself. We never see what they wrote, what they searched, or what's on their screen. We operate no servers — there is nothing to breach, and nothing for anyone to subpoena.

03

Every child sees their own dashboard.

Whatever you see, your child sees. No hidden mode, no keylogger, no screenshot upload — even as an opt-in. Children deserve to know what's being tracked, and the fastest way to lose a teenager's trust is to spy on them in secret.

What Grove sees.
What it doesn't.

It sees

  • Which apps were opened, and when
  • Which sites were visited, and how long
  • Whether a rule was enforced
  • Whether a bypass was attempted

It never sees

  • What you type
  • What you said in messages
  • Screen content or screenshots
  • Anything sent to a server (there is none)

The first time Grove opens on a child's Mac, this exact list is shown as a one-page consent screen. It can be reopened any time from the Grove icon — there is no setting that hides it.
